The Supreme Court hearing in Brazil is making international news!
The Supreme Court will hold the second and final public hearing on August 31, as the Justices determine whether or not Brazil will declare the law from the State of São Paulo “unconstitutional” which prohibits the use of products containing asbestos in its territory. The 35 witnesses at the hearing include both experts testifying against asbestos use and representatives of the asbestos industry.
Fernanda Giannasi shared news about the hearing on Friday and said the Public Ministry did an excellent job critically reviewing the asbestos industry’s testimony that was presented yesterday.
Marc Hindry, from the Association Nationale de Defense des Victimes de l’Amiante (Andeva), attended the hearing on Friday and said, “The wolf is in trouble!”
