Whether in person or as an ADAO Mesothelioma Warrior Virtual Team member – join us on the starting line as we race for asbestos and mesothelioma awareness. This year, the 10th Annual Alton Miles for Meso 5K race and 3K fun run/walk at 8:30 AM, on Sat., Sept. 22 in Alton will benefit the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO). This is the 10th year that ADAO Platinum Sponsor Simmons, Hanly, Conroy LLC will be putting on this fabulous event.
The Team Captains for this year’s 10th Annual Miles for Meso Fundraiser are an awesome bunch of people dedicated to spreading Mesothelioma awareness! Meet the ADAO Mesothelioma Warrior Team Captains: Jess and Mike, Courtney, Julie, Marilyn, Annamarie, Jennifer, Heather, and Ann! Each of these warriors are patients, loved ones, or advocates committed to spreading awareness across the country! Their unique stores are featured in our Share Your Story Collection. Although they won’t be joining us at the event in Alton, IL, they will be gathering a group of their local family, friends and loved ones for a virtual run/walk the day of the event. This annual event is one of the yearly highlights for our Mesothelioma Warrior community. It brings about 1,000 people together in a fun, healthy way, and even creates ways to connect digitally for those who can’t make it to the race in person. And of course, it raises mesothelioma awareness and funds for ADAO. Since 2014, ADAO has been the designated beneficiary for the Miles for Meso race in Alton which has raised $130,000.
We would like to give Jessica Mattmuller a special thank you for creating our beautiful Miles for Meso graphics again this year! In addition, we are grateful to Simmons Hanly Conroy for hosting an event that raises awareness of Mesothelioma and the dangers of asbestos.
