On behalf of ADAO, I am honored to announce that the 2011 Asbestos Awareness Conference Warren Zevon “Keep me in Your Heart” Memorial Tribute will be awarded posthumously to Ron Cyrus, longtime Kentucky Legislator, Labor leader, father of musician Billy Ray Cyrus, and grandfather of actress/singer, Miley Cyrus. It will be an honor to present this award at ADAO’s 7th Annual International Asbestos Awareness Conference April 1 – 3 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Like Mr. Cyrus, my father passed away from asbestos-related mesothelioma cancer, and it is with him in mind that we honor Mr. Cyrus’s legacy as a passionate public servant, dedicated advocate, and loving family man.

In 2007, Miley Cyrus wrote and released the song “I Miss You” in honor of her grandfather.  Her lyrics are especially meaningful to our community of patients, families, and friends.

Please join us at our 7th Annual Conference where we will honor Mr. Ron Cyrus and a number of other awe-inspiring honorees. This year’s conference promises to be the best yet, and I hope to see you in Atlanta in April!
