Since 2005, ADAO’s annual conference has brought together experts, survivors, unions, and lawmakers from 18 different countries to connect and share the latest education, advocacy, and community support efforts.

The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is proud to share our latest infographic detailing facts and stats from the 2005 – 2017 ADAO Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conferences. 2017 has been tremendously busy forADAO, resulting in over 30,000 more views on YouTube than in 2016.

Without a ban, asbestos remains both legal and lethal in the USA today—and imports continue unabated.  ADAO is the only nonprofit in the United States organizing annual conferences dedicated solely to preventing exposure and eliminating asbestos-caused diseases; our events have produced 13 Asbestos Awareness Resolutions, which is a testament to our drive and unshakeable commitment to this life-altering issue.

ADAO’s conferences have served as bridges for allies joining each other to inform, advocate for, and mobilize communities. Over the last few years, nearly 30 diverse speakers, including Former Surgeon General Boris Lushniak, have imparted their knowledge, and we have recognized 90 individuals and organizations with our prestigious awards.

I hope to personally welcome you to the 14th Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference. ADAO appreciates your support and hopes to make this year’s Asbestos Awareness Conference the best yet! And of course, please share this infographic and watch for the registration launch in January 2018.

Together, we make change happen.
