The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is proud to present our 16th Annual Asbestos and Prevention Conference Program! The beautiful 131 page program features important conference information as well as stories about Mesothelioma Warriors, ADAO keynote speakers, honorees, presenters, sponsors, and supporters all working together towards an asbestos ban.

The 2021 program not only captures the depth and ambition of the conference, but also shows a glimpse into the shared global ban asbestos movement. It includes content from or about over 100 experts in the field, including members of doctors, legal professionals, labor officials, advocates, and more. The program features advocacy material from eight countries, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Nigeria, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Perhaps most importantly, it honors the struggles and lives of individual asbestos victims.

We hope the program can be a useful resource to all who share our goal: to ban asbestos once and for all.

Thank you so much for attending the conference this year. We are hearing rave reviews from our three events! We expect to have session videos edited and uploaded to YouTube by October 15th.

In the meantime, don’t forget that Rebecca Reindel, AFL-CIO Safety and Health Director, introduced an exciting AFL-CIO new action: Tell Congress: Working People Need the Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Now (ARBAN) Act.” This online form allows anyone to easily send automated letters to their members of Congress in support of banning asbestos; calling for a study of legacy asbestos in homes, schools, workplaces and consumer shelves; and to improve chemical data reporting to EPA from companies who use asbestos..  To submit the pre-written letter via the form, just input your information, select ‘Health’ as the letter topic, and hit ‘send letter’ and be sure to share with your friends and family too!

Thank you to all of the volunteers, the Science and Prevention Advisory Boards, and ADAO Leadership who spent countless hours putting together this magnificent conference program. And a massive thank you to the 2021 Conference Sponsors: Platinum Sponsor Simmons Hanly Conroy, Gold Sponsor The Gori Law Firm, and Silver Sponsor Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen, who generously support our education, advocacy and community efforts.

Together, we are making change possible.
