December 9, 2021

Happy Holidays! What an impactful year 2021 has been for the ADAO community. Please join me in reflecting on some of the accomplishments we’ve made together this year and thanking our incredible ADAO partners and supporters in this month’s newsletter below.

A huge thank you to our donors and sponsors who generously supported our educational, advocacy, and community efforts. Thanks to our Platinum Sponsor, Simmons Hanly Conroy, LLC; Gold Sponsor, The Gori Law Firm; and Silver Sponsor, Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney Meisenkothen, we were able to make our 16th Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Virtual Conference free and available to all through online streaming, greatly increasing access to new attendees and supporters.

Thank you to ADAO leadership, volunteers, and interns, who have gallantly led the way for our work to be completed this last year.

Another huge thank you to all our powerhouse Zoom speakers. We successfully hosted many Zoom events throughout this year with speakers from around the world to discuss art, advocacy, prevention, policy, and more. Similarly, we would like to thank those who participated in our Congressional Staff Briefing.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our Global Asbestos Awareness Week partner, Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), for their continued support in education and prevention campaigns.

Last, but certainly not least, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Now Act champions and stakeholders. We know that the Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Now (ARBAN) Act has bipartisan support, and we hope to see more movement on the bill in the new year.

Thank you to all who made 2021 possible! We can’t wait for 2022 and foresee great success!
