The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO), a proven leader in preventing all asbestos-caused diseases, is officially accepting monetary sponsorships for the 2023 year! This is an impactful opportunity to help a grassroots organization make real change to support public health and education. The deadline to join as an ADAO sponsor is February 24th, 2023. It is because of sponsor support that we were able to take many landmark steps forward in 2022, and we are already on track for a powerful 2023. We hope you will join us. To learn about sponsorship levels and opportunities, please reach out to me via email.

Asbestos kills over 40,000 Americans each year, yet imports and use continue.

ADAO is an independent 501(c)(3) certified nonprofit organization founded in 2004 and based in Redondo Beach, CA. We are dedicated to preventing consumer, environmental, and occupational asbestos exposure through education, advocacy, and community support initiatives. ADAO actively participates in labor, public health, and environmental coalitions, and continue to act as a trusted resource for the media who report on asbestos-related news.

Our community is made up of more than 50,000 people, including medical, scientific, labor, and occupational safety and health professionals, government agencies, NGOs, volunteers, interns, victims of asbestos-related diseases such as mesothelioma, and their families. We also continue to be a sought-after resource for the media as they report on asbestos-related news.

Thanks to our willpower and determination, ADAO — with the help from other advocacy groups and the monetary support of our sponsors — won a series of landmark settlements against the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) this year. Due to these settlements, the agency has been forced to revise its rule-making and regulatory steps to be more comprehensive, more protective, and more wide-ranging when it comes to the threat of asbestos. We know that the new year will only bring more policy changes like this, but we need your help to keep fighting.

There are various levels of sponsorship to join at, and ADAO utilizes the most current, cost-effective means to broaden our reach and deepen our impact. 2023 Sponsors can leverage ADAO’s social media and digital expertise for collaborative marketing efforts, on top of being able to cultivate relationships with ADAO’s circle of asbestos victims, experts, and concerned citizens. Sponsors benefit from official recognition via several avenues such as:

  • Before, during, and after our annual Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference
  • During our yearly “Global Asbestos Awareness Week,” which reaches hundreds of thousands of people
  • In our monthly eNewsletters
  • Through our frequent community-building events
  • Within our blogs
  • On our social media messaging through 2023

These are just a few examples of ways we work to give back and empower our sponsors.

ADAO is working to make the world a safer and healthier place for us all. Our sponsors are the true heroes who make this work possible, especially during this trying time — we and our community need you now more than ever before. We are grateful for your consideration.

We look forward to accomplishing more goals in 2023!

Together, we can make change happen.
