Create Your Miles for Meso Bib Here — Deadline: September 5th

Get ready – it’s almost time for the 15th Annual Alton Miles for Meso Race! We are so excited for another opportunity to highlight our amazing Platinum Sponsor, Simmons Hanly Conroy as we to raise awareness for the innocent victims of asbestos-caused diseases. This annual event is one of the highlights of our Mesothelioma Warrior community.

ADAO has built a signature program as part of the Miles for Meso race to honor and remember Mesothelioma Warriors. For the past seven years, over 250 race participants have worn “Warrior tribute bibs,” each bearing the name of an asbestos-related disease victim.

In addition to your race bib, everyone who registers will get a blank hard copy bib in your race packet. You are encouraged to personalize it in support or loving memory of a Warrior. Like last year, a gift bag will be shipped to all virtual participants. Miles for Meso is also collecting names during the race registration process. ADAO and Simmons Hanly Conroy LLP (SHC) will create a collage tribute graphic to share during race week.

These personalized bibs are one of the most powerful parts of the race each year, enabling participants to dedicate their run to a Warrior. We ask that you wear your loved one’s name or photo when you run to honor them, and we will compile all submitted pictures for a collage. Miles For Meso brings people together in a fun, healthy way, and this year will have an option to connect virtually for those who can’t attend the race in person. Since 2014, the Alton Miles for Meso race has raised over $180,000 for ADAO. We are immensely grateful to everyone who has supported us so far, especially SHC, who will be sponsoring this fabulous event for the 15th consecutive year.

All proceeds from the race will go directly to ADAO’s advocacy, community support programs, education efforts, and awareness campaigns. Register today to run in Alton or join us virtually. Your participation is the life force behind our work and enables the largest asbestos victims’ advocacy group in the U.S. to continue to prevent asbestos exposure and strive to eliminate all asbestos-caused diseases.

Together we are making change happen.
