We are getting close to the Miles for Meso Race and fundraiser event! The race will be held in Alton, Illinois on Sept. 24, 2022 with others joining in virtually from around the country. Here are 3 simple things you can do to join the community, raise awareness, and support ADAO.

1) Join ADAO’s BAN ASBESTOS TEAM:

It’s so easy — just follow these 4 simple steps.

  • Register for the walk/run race by September 9, 2022 to receive a fabulous race shirt.
  • Select your donation amount.
  • Select ADAO BAN ASBESTOS TEAM.
  • Complete the prompted steps to finalize registration!

Each registrant will receive a goodie bag filled with fun and fabulous swag, over $40 in value. Register by Sept. 9 to get your shirt by race day. Late registrants will get their shirt when Miles For Meso volunteers mail the finisher medals in mid-October.

$35.00 — Early Bird Registration – Now registering Jul 11 – Aug 26

$40.00 — Regular Registration – Aug 27 – Sep 9

$45.00 — Late Registration – Sep 10 – Sep 18

You don’t have to be a registered racer to join us. You can donate to the ADAO BAN ASBESTOS TEAM through the registration link.

2) TRIBUTE BIBS:

We are finalizing the tribute bibs for the 2022 Miles for Meso (MFM) hybrid race by Friday, Sept. 9th. If you have not gotten an email from ADAO and would like to submit a Warriors name, please complete the Google Form so we can include your Warrior in the 2022 tribute bib collage graphic. We plan to include all names submitted last year unless we hear otherwise, so please email us if you would like to have a previously submitted name removed. Check out our blog with more details.

3) Share on Social Media

Another easy way to help our advocacy efforts is by sharing our Miles for Meso Blog and the upcoming Tribute Collage Graphic on social media. This is an easy way to spread awareness about the race and its purpose- why we’re all running or walking for National Mesothelioma Awareness Day (Sept. 26th). Anyone can do this, even if they’re not registered.

Why is this important? Donations and shares on social media support ADAO’s pillars of education, advocacy, and community. By donating and sharing you will be helping to prevent asbestos exposure and eliminate asbestos-caused diseases, like mesothelioma.

ADAO is so excited for the 14th Alton Miles for Meso Race and we look forward to seeing you in-person and online!

Sincerely,

The ADAO Ban Asbestos Team
