The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization is proud to share and support an important fundraiser from our colleagues in Canada.

Around 500 Canadians annually receive the terrifying news that they have mesothelioma. As most of us know far too well, there’s no cure for this awful, asbestos-caused cancer. In Canada, as in the U.S. this carcinogenic mineral was mined and heavily used in various manufacturing sectors, leaving asbestos exposure an almost omnipresent risk. We can’t do anything about the historic exposures suffered by so many workers and family members, but we can step forward and try our best to mobilize resources to maximize early detection and innovative, effective treatment.

The Canadian Mesothelioma Foundation is working on a project developing this national network of mesothelioma health care expertise, focusing on maximizing early mesothelioma detection and increasing access specialized healthcare.

The exclusive event will be hosted by Hillary Farr, and will feature a performance by comedian and Mesothelioma Warrior Quincy Jones, who presented at ADAO’s last conference in April 2017.

Please join me in supporting and sharing this important event. Together with our international allies, we will protect future generations from asbestos disease and make the world a safer place for all.

In solidarity,

Linda
