In honor of the longstanding Mesothelioma Warrior Candle Lighting tradition, we will light candles on December 28th in loving memory of the Warriors we’ve lost, and again on January 4, 2018 in support of Warriors who continue to bravely fight.

This year, more than 40 new Mesothelioma Warriors names were added to the Candle Lighting list, which brings the total number to over 1,000 people. It is so meaningful to have a chance to hold these beloved Warriors close to our hearts, especially during the holiday season.

Since Mesothelioma Warrior Jill Vaughn started this tradition in 2000, candle lighting has brought hope and inspiration to our community, year after year. While Jill tragically passed away many years ago, ADAO has been grateful to continue this tradition that became so important to Jill and many others.

As we somberly light candles of honor and remembrance, let us take comfort in knowing this circle of support surrounds us all.

May the flames of hope, courage, and community continue to burn brightly in our hearts forever.

In unity and hope,

The ADAO Mesothelioma Warrior Candle Lighting Team
